Product Description:

HierarchicalDock gives you hierarchical menu navigation of folders sitting in your Dock. As of Mac OS X 10.5, Leopard doesn't support going through more than 1 folder deep for stacks in your Dock. This makes it easier to navigate multiple folders deep with a simple click.

What's new in this version:

  • Improved Performance
  • Fixed a bug that prevented creation of folders with "/" in the filename
  • Better positioning
  • Show Finder's color labels
  • Show number of items of subfolders
  • Fixed .essdocker extension bug for good (you may have to re-add folders with this new version)
  • Per-Folder settings (hold down option and command and click on the folder)
  • Doesn't mount servers anymore if not wanted
  • Fixed sizing of menus
  • Open QuickLook windows with option-click
  • Size of QuickLook Previews adjustable

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.5 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.5 PPC

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.5

HierarchicalDock ReviewLoads up CPU processing - Version: 1.2, 2/8/2008 12:00AM PST

On my Mac Mini 2.0 Ghz, I find that ejecting DVD's and disk images take 5 to 10 seconds with this program running. Seems to load down the FInder. Uses excessive CPU time. Since deleting it, my computer is now more responsive. However, it's a nice program and the next Leopard update should include something of the type.

though right click opens the list and left click only brings up the dock options (remove/add to dock, open at login...)

there isn't a way to open the folder with one click for some reason.

The manager at Apple who decided that the hierarchical menu had to go has to be fired! That was the most stupid decision in the history of Apple.

Thank you so much for developing this must.have, and give it away for free!!!

Of course, it could be a tad faster and quicker to respond, but I can really live with that...
