Jenny SolasThank you so much for developing this must.have, and give it away for free!!!
Of course, it could be a tad faster and quicker to respond, but I can really live with that...

slotcarbob_1One thing, if possible, how about making it work with the larger folders and layout of Stacks? Not critical, but would look nice. Thanks, again.

John BertramNot only did he get back right away, and then proceed to eliminate both minor bugs very quickly, he even sent me the new-improved v1.1 directly, saving me the "trouble" of another download!
Be sure and check out the "Use QuickLook thumbnails" option. It's basically the only Preference you can set for now, but I like it a lot.
(Apple Dock Developers, are you paying attention??? Here is an elegant example of form AND functionality-- you CAN have both!)
EXTENSIONS BUG NOT FIXED :-( - Version: 1.1, 12/7/2007 07:40PM PST
John Bertram
Fun interface; easy to use; like the "QuickLook Preview" vs. Icon option, BUT...
The version note about "Fixed a bug that caused extensions to show in Dock" is sadly not true. At least half of the 15 or so folders I now have in my dock (installed via HD 1.1) have started displaying the annoying ".essdocker" extension.
Also, beware of a SECOND bug/feature/limitation of which I saw no warning in the documentation:
Several of my folders refused to appear in the dock when I dragged them from HD 1.1's window. I finally realized what they had in common -- they were the ones named A/V Production, Info/Data Organizers, Maintenance/Repair, etc.
This program will not work if your folder name has a "/" (forward slash) in its name. Once I renamed the folders to A-V Production, Info & Data Organizers, Maintenance & Repair, etc. everything was fine -- except for that !@#$%^&* .essdocker extension!
Am looking forward to giving this 5 Stars (Apple -- are you paying attention to the NEED for this kind of functionality?) despite the minor annoyance of having to avoid using "/" in my folder names -- but will wait to see how long it takes to fix this extension bug (rather than giving 4 stars now then upgrading later).
And hey -- if the no "/" bug gets fixed too, I'll give 5 stars plus a donation!
why can't this be made to work on the left side of the dock? - Version: 1.0, 11/27/2007 04:22PM PST

kdx4why do all these dock changing appz only work to add functionality to the right side of the dock. why can't stacks or this appz do the same for the left side? is this impossible to do?

Stuart ChapmanThanks so much.... I'd be interested to know how this works? Is there a background process running to add this functionality back to the Dock?
Kind regards,
Stuart
