Product Description:

iFamilyForTiger is a genealogy application for people who think differently. Whereas other genealogy software tends to emphasize the family unit, this software's focus is on each individual person. This distinction is subtle and is a feature of iFamily for Tiger. In iFamilyForTiger you can see at a glance whether an individual has more than 2 parents or more than 1 spouse. Parent-child relationships may be natural (the default), step, adopted or foster relationships.

iFamilyForTiger is simple to use and easy to navigate - it uses the latest Apple technology such as Cocoa and Core Data. It runs on OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard).

I have been using this software for about 2.5 years. As others have said, it is intuitive and easy to use. Without doubt the most outstanding feature is the fantastic support from Keith the developer. He always answers promptly and is very helpful.
I look forward to an iPhone app for iFamily.

If you are either a beginner or a serious genealogist using a Mac you can not go past this program
I personally have used since the early days when I ran it alongside Reunion which was my program of choice for Mac .... till now ....
The things you can do with iFamily are too numerous to mention here see for yourself on the user forum what others are doing http://www.ifamilyfortiger.com/forums/YaBB.pl
and you can download and try before purchase I have a large family tree and the HTML output is one of my favourites where you can save your whole tree in HTML burn to Cd or DVD and send to family for them to view in browser privately without uploading to the web
it is very intuitive to use but if not sure help is on the discussion forum from other users
how it handles Photos, BDM certificates, newspaper clipping's, web snippets, ect is also excellent as all images can be stored with the person they refer to for review and enlargement at any time instead of rummaging through boxes or files
as everyone has a different approach to how they want to record their family tree/history I do think that iFamily covers all areas, and the developer an Aussie and a genealogist is very open to suggestions from what people feel that they need added that is a great plus
all in all this is the one and only program for genealogy that I would recommend for Mac users and it can only get better

I have both Reunion 8 and iFamilyForTiger and have found that, to my taste, iFamilyForTiger is superior to Reunion. And, further, iFamilyForTiger is constantly being updated and new features continue to be added which you cannot say for Reunion.
