Product Description:

Spaces.. Spaces.. Spaces.. Ever since I got Leopard, I've been saying this over and over again - once every time the new Spaces feature on Leopard fails to do what I expect (like when it frantically switches spaces whenever I switch between different applications). Spaces.. Spaces.. Spaces.. is a partial attempt at a remedy. It works by injecting a small piece of code into the Dock. The code will prevent the Dock from switching to a different space immediately after switching to a different application (using Command-Tab, for instance). The result is a (hopefully) more intuitive Spaces experience.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.5 Intel

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.5.0
  • Intel-based Mac

App won't even try to patch the issue in 10.5.2. Too bad, I bought my machine with 10.5.2 pre-installed over a month ago, but I can't use this. I hope there will be an updated version very soon.

Simple product and hopefully of temporary use, but really nice because Spaces would be too frustrating to use without this correction.
Again the main reason is that I like to open a new window of a very common application (Safari, Terminal, TextEdit, etc.) on a given desktop, without it being sticky and in all possible situations.
Helas 3Spaces, does not orrect all Spaces lacks; it does bring all the functionnality we were used with other desktops applications before 10.5, and I cannot get one to work now (MacBook Pro intel leopard).

Loving this thing. I have to agree that the auto-switch-on-app-switch was one of the two most utterly annoying things about Spaces, and this app seems to solve that problem splendidly. Thank you so much for having created this little gem! It works beautifully for me.

P.S.: For those of you wondering what the other most utterly annoying thing about Spaces is... it would have to be how it treats wrapping. Forcing a raster-like progression just doesn't make any sense and contradicts the physicality of adjoining spaces. When you're at the end of a row and go 'right', you should wrap to the beginning of that row... not the beginning of the NEXT one. Same thing for wrapping from the beginning to the front. Also, why prevent users from going 'up' when they're at the first space? That should just wrap to the bottom of the first column... instead, Spaces acts as if you've hit a ceiling - which makes very little sense. Silly...
That would be my next suggestion for an enhancement - either from Apple or from resources developers such as this one. :)
