Product Description:
MoveCM is a contextual menu item for moving files and folders quickly into common folders. i.e. without the need to drag and drop them, use aliases, etc. It is a generalization of the Finder's "Move to Trash" contextual menu item, you can apply it to any folder you like.
Use the System Preference pane to specify destination folders. The contextual menu will then consist of menu items that correspond to these destinations.
To use, control click on one or more files and/or folders in the Finder, select a destination from the menu, and the files and/or folders will be moved to that destination. You have the option, specified in the preference pane, to have the destination folder opened for you after the move. You also have the option of having the menu items in the contextual menu named after the destination folder, or by its pathname.
Since the move is performed by the Finder, you can undo the move by selecting "Undo..." from the Finder's Edit menu (when moving single items.) But note that if a file or folder by the same name already exists in the selected destination then the move will not occur.

First, I just posted an update to MoveCM which adds some new features, such as the ability to archive files or folders to one of the locations pre-selected in the preference pane.
I went on the defensive because I write a lot of software, and I rotate through the projects updating them over time. Your review and comments came in on version 1.0, which for all my products will always suffer from a lack of features. So comparing my program at its debut to a program which has been in development for a much longer period of time seemed odd to me. It's not something I would participate in. It makes me wonder why you have to take it public anyway. I guess there is something in writing to me in private communication that wouldn't suffice. Similarly, why was your last reply posted as a completly new feedback item, rather than as part of the pre-exisiting thread to your original post?
As with all my products I have a list of features planned for MoveCM. They never all go into version 1. I'll get to them eventually. I just sit here writing the software I want to use, and that I think will be useful to others. So when a person comes by and denigrates my work I tend to go on the defensive. The unfortunate side of the internet is that it seems to provide the same insulation that causes "road rage."
Finally, MoveCM doesn't stand alone, but rather as part of a large assemblage of programs I work on simultaneously. And, I offer them all for one single price, which is variable (so I call it a donation.) Each individual existing program is in development, and new ones are on the way.Upgrades are always F R E E, as are new additons to the bundle.

Andreas..When I move an item I am aware of where I am moving it from and to and do not need a display of either path as in Terminal. Others, of course, might.
I cannot recall wanting to undo a move - I can't guarantee "ever", just that I can't recall such an occasion. Were it to happen, I find Command-Z perfectly adequate. "Undo" works in the expected way after a 'QuickAccessCM' move. I can imagine nothing simpler, faster or more intuitive than that.
I find creating and modifying the settings for "Quick Access" (i.e. show), "Move To", "Copy To" and "Make Alias In" in QuickAccessCM extremely simple. You may find it "big and complex" - I don't.
I believe in a free market. I believe in the consumer's right to information and to choice. I have not in any way denigrated your product. I see nothing "unfair" in disseminating information if that information is true. That you, as a "competitor", may prefer it not to be so is a different matter.
I am grateful to Abracode for giving me a superb tool free of charge, and I am pleased to repay them in a very small way by making this kind of post. I consider that fair and decent.
You have no need to go on the defensive. I am not attacking you. For all I know your product may yet prove to be a phenomenal leap forward in such utilities. If it is, rest assured that I will say so.
