Product Description:

Simple Floating Clock is exactly what the name implies. When Apple released Mac OS X 10.5, the removed the option to show the clock in a floating, translucent window on the desktop. Some people liked that view so I decided to give it back.

What's new in this version:

  • Fixed a bug with digital clock placement on relaunch.
  • Worked around an Apple memory leak related to digital clocks on 10.4.x
  • German localization from Peter Hanitzsch.

    Simple Floating Clock ReviewNice clock widget with a small goof - Version: 1.6.2, 7/16/2008 11:39AM PST

    Nice widget. I loke all the options, and its easy to move around for improved visibility.
    I just noticed a small goof in the display: Roman numeral "4" is "IV". The rules for roman numerals do not allow a digit to be appear consecutively more than 3 times. Hence, after III (3), you have to use the next digit "V" to avoid using "I" 4 times together.

    It is SO much easier to know instantly what the time is on a clock like this one than the digital format, and to be able to see the date at the same time (an option) is even better (though the hands do sometimes get in the way of that). Love this little app!
