Product Description:

mpqfs (or MoPaQ Filesystem) is a FUSE filesystem for Blizzard Entertainment's MoPaQ (.mpq) archives. With it, you can use regular system tools and applications such as Finder and QuickTime Player or standard UNIX programs to access the content of such archives.

MoPaQ archives have been used by Blizzard Entertainment since the original Diablo to store game assets.

mpqfs is powered by MPQKit, an object-oriented framework for manipulating MoPaQ archives. For details on the project, see http://www.devklog.net/mpqkit/.

What's new in this version:

Fixed a crash in MPQFS's extended attributes code.
Properly handle extended attributes not supported by MPQFS (fixes problems in the Finder such as random color labels on folders and files).
Changed permission bits of files and folders to allow writing for the owner. Files and folders copied from an MPQFS filesystem by Finder should no longer be read-only.

What a piece of crap. Each mpq-file I tried to open made the app crash. Only hard quit helped to close the program. Does not what it's saying, so this program, for what ever it is meant to be, is not worth a single download.

While I personally haven't used mpqfs, I know many people who have but don't have versiontracker accounts. This freeware does exactly what it says. It allows the viewing of a MPQ archive in your finder by using MacFUSE. Very handy. Also, it's free! What's better?
