Apple Login & Keychain Update Troubleshooting ReportWill not install - Version: 1.0, 11/17/2007 11:44AM PST

The advice is to install this keychain update on all Leopard installations. I have installed Leopard on a G4 Powerbook 1.25 HHz with 512 ram. I get the following message
"You cannot install Login & Keychain Update on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."
Any help?

Apple Login & Keychain Update Usage TipRestored Wifi Printing to Laserwriter Printer - Version: 1.0, 10/29/2007 07:37AM PST

After installing Leopard I could not print to my Laserwriter IIg printer from my Macbook Pro. Under WiFi the Printer Prefpane could "see" the Iig, add it to the list of available printers and try to print but nothing came out of the queue so I could not print to it. Workaround was to connecting to network with an ethernet cable and then the queue was "resumeable.". Sure sounded like a WiFi problem to me.

So a bummer on Friday was a success story by Saturday with the release of this update. Nice work Apple!

Apple Login & Keychain Update CommentaryNow they Tell US...I AM RIGHTFULLY ANGRY! - Version: 1.0, 10/28/2007 10:58PM PST

THe OS would NOT let me Repair Permissions In Disk Utility OR Terminal! The Terminal advised me that I was NOT the owner of the Volume. Mail would not save my passwords. APPLE Tech hadn't a clue! NOW after reverting to TIGER we find an update for passphrases of 8 characters or more and a Keychain correction! I'm disgusted! The dock is garbage and I will place my family pack of Tiger on the shelf for 6months AT LEAST! I have a dock that runs the width of my Cinema 23" display and with Leopard it is 10 times more difficult to see than it is now...you can't even see the shelf it sits on. The transparent menu bar shows bremnants of my desktop wallpaper. I don't know what the Apple design engineers were thinking!
