Product Description:

Schreiben Word Processor. Simple. Fast. Centric. Schreiben was my first application for Mac OS X. I needed a fast, clean and easy to use word processor which opens in the middle of the screen. I don't like the behaviour of other word processors you first have to center on the screen. Three years later Schreiben is still my favorite application and because other developers let me learn from their code, I did not use Word for years now. Schreiben is based on the Cocoa Text System - so you can open and write RichText and Word Files. You can create tables, drop and resize pictures or even write XML. Schreiben has got an integrated statistic (Character, Words, Lines) so you won't miss your editors (teachers, etc.) defaults, you can store often used Snippets and AutoSave documents.

Why should I upgrade to Leopard just for a word processor?
The GUI looks really nice but not supporting Tiger is not a good idea, IMHO.

Schreiben CommentaryLooks interesting, but... - Version: 3.0.1, 6/28/2008 10:25AM PST

...is there a reason the Leopard demo won't work on a 10.5.2 Intel system (iMac Core2 Duo)? Every time I try to launch the demo, I get an error telling me that the app cannot run on "this version of MacOS X."

Looks interesting. I'd like to check it out.
