Drag "webloc" (web location) files onto the application, or drag URLs from Safari onto the Dock icon.

Generated images are placed on your Desktop, or any location you specify, and named using the title of the web page being imaged.

DropImageURL is a part of the Limit Point Software "Utilities" bundle, and like all Utility software will run for a limited amount of time so that you can demo it. Why would you make an app that is not even needed... It's like making an app that teaches one how to chew bubble gum.

What do I mean?

Well well well... Print to PDF is built into OSX. You go to a page and print it. The sheet will drop down and PDF will be an option in the bottom left of the window.

If you wanna get fancy you can have Preview save it out as a jpg, tif, gif, or png.

Nothing wrong with reinventing the wheel. But when you charge for it make sure that it's not so easy to reveal that you are taking advantage of the general n00b population.

No I have not tried it... I also have never tried smoking crack, yet know it's not something that I want to use.

And no, I'm not comparing DropImageURL to smoking crack... or am I? :)

First of all, it's donation NAGWARE -- you are presented with a dialog that you must wait to dismiss whenever you use it.

Second of all, you need to save a webloc to the desktop first, like by dragging the blue sphere from Safari, THEN drag that to the app icon.

Third, the icon is kind of hard to hit for a droplet... it is small, with a lot of mask. Would be better if it was in a square.

Fourth, it took several MINUTES for the screenshot I took of this page in Versiontracker to appear on the desktop. Seriously, I thought the thing didn't work , since there is no UI or progress indicator. It finally appeared minutes later. YMMV.

I see not reason to use this, much less donate for it when other alternatives like Paparazzi exist and have more features and a real UI.
