Upon trying to download a Youtube flash video, the application promptly crashed. This was using the lastest build of Safari in OSX 10.4.11

You can simply save flash files directly from Safari's Activity window - double click the file and it will open up in a new window then save it.
You can also do that using Firefox if you have the free VideoDownloader Extension installed.
