This in no way messes with CUPS. This is a nice utility to automate printer creation. I use it in maintaining and deploying my 700 macs, and its a great timesaver.

Its beta, so some blood and sweat must be invested but the developpers are great and have answered all my questions, so kudos. I can now create printers on my machines by simply dragging a few icons. And in my next source release, the process will be fully automated.

I learned the hard way of fooling around with CUPS and printer software updates. If you're not a computer programmer then stay as far away from CUPS updates and Open Sore software as you can.

I've been using Macs since they first hit the market and that's all I've used. I'm still recovering from The CUPS update & Apple security update clash that prevented printing and could ONLY be fixed by doing a clean install. I didn't have the space for an archive install so some of you know the pain involved in that, by moving files from a cloned Firewire and getting each piece of software working again.

So if you're just the everyday Joe, get out of here, Flee, Run Willow Run. They should not be making this dangerous open sore software available to the public. It should be on a Geek site that you have to prove you're a Geek before entering. Like showing a pic of how small a noodle you have in some star trek jammies.

Danger Will Robinson Danger.
