Product Description:

PDFDek is an application utility for extracting all pages from a PDF file and saving them as images on your computer.

Use the Preferences window to specify the image format, scale and destination location.

PDFDek is part of the Limit Point Software Utilities Bundle : http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html. Purchase a Utilities password to activate all the utilities, including PDFDek. Upgrades are always free, new utilities are always included!

What's new in this version:

  • Output images can now be scaled. (Scale factors greater than 1.0 increase the clarity of the image.)
  • Added an option for overwriting files by the same name to the Preferences window.
  • The image quality is now always set to maximum quality, and the image quality popup has been removed from the Preferences window.

This application does what it advertises and will very quickly produce jpgs suitable for web use or screen display. At the best quality setting the image for an 8.5 x 11 image is only 792 x 612. It could use an option for very high quality output more suitable for printing.

If you need a better quality jpg file for printing then use the Print to PDF/Send PDF to iPhoto method as it will produce an image 2200 x 1700 in size which will print up very well.
