Dupin is your iTunes duplicates manager.

Dupin finds sets of duplicate tracks in iTunes based on the criteria you choose. It can then automatically select the "Keeper" tracks from among the duplicates using a variety of versatile filter options. Dupin is flexible, fast, and easy to use.

With Dupin you can:

  • Locate, sort, filter, and purge duplicate tracks
  • Preserve play history and ratings
  • Re-populate iTunes playlists
  • Manage intentionally duplicated tracks
  • Copy tracks to new iTunes playlists
  • Audition tracks

  • runs under Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) or better only
  • addresses reported issues affecting performance in Snow Leopard
  • fixes startup issue verifying Folder Location setting in Filter Controls

Great ap so far it's much faster and easier than others including IDUPE
I ran 10,000 songs in batch without a problem!!!!
I'm using osx 10.8 and itunes 8.2

Fast, accurate, flexible and easy to use. My library was about 30,000 songs with about 5,000 dupes. This software found and eliminated them immediately. The time it saved me was worth the cost of the app. I won't need if often, but I got my value out of it on the first use.

I am running OS 10.5.5 and iTunes 8.0. Whenever I startup Dupin, I receive two error message simultaneously. the first says "Problem... The file "/Volumes/Media Files/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml" could not be located." The second says "AppleScript Error Can't getDupesAtStartup of missing value. (-1728)." I keep my iTunes Library on an external hard drive called "Media Files." Does Dupin not work with iTunes 8?
