Even though Apple states that iLife Update 9.0.1 is for the '09 versions of iLife, iWork and Aperture, Software Update wants to install it on my early-2008 black MacBook/10.5.6 with the '08 versions of iLife and iWork. I think I'll wait a while to find out how others are dealing with this.

Software update ran again after the install of 8.2, as it always does after any install. Odd that it then read that 8.2 was installed instead of no new software available. I quit software update, relaunched it and ran it again. Then it gave me the correct message. No problems that I can tell right now though.
Software Update detects that you have iTunes (technically part of the iLife Suite) in your Apps folder, so it assumes that you have the rest of the iLife apps. If anyone recalls, the same thing happened when iLife '06 users were prompted to apply the iLife Support Update v8.3 (for iLife '08).
So, if you don't have iLife '09, you can ignore this update. If it works the same way as the previous v8.3 update, then you'll just get an error message telling you that it can't update the iLife '09 shared components because they aren't present.
