Product Description:

Creates a stochastic sound collage from previously recorded audio files. Simply play the collage or dump it to disk as a generated AIFF file. A singular smudgeon of software for drudgery enhancement, retail ambience, pretension installations, broadcast bed blather, frenetic aural kniptions, atmospheric descents, and general enlightenment. Almost interesting!

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC

Audio A.D.D. ReviewVery Novel Idea - Version: 1.1, 1/17/2008 12:00AM PST

I've been having a lot of fun with the last couple of versions. It's an idea I haven't come across before, and I hope it gets further attention from the developer.

The interface isn't immediately intutitve, but it's good once you have it figured out. The application's help webpage covers it well. I'd like to see more sophisticated controls.

I've been using it with iTunes playlists for background audio while I work, and it's been solid.

Audio A.D.D. CommentaryI like the idea a lot but... - Version: 1.1, 1/3/2008 03:42PM PST

It would be a lot more interesting to me personally if the slice duration could be a LOT smaller. It'd be cool to randomly chop stuff from several milliseconds up to a few seconds. And to be able to select zero fade time up to several seconds, too.

Audio A.D.D. ReviewDoesn't do anything... - Version: 1.1, 1/2/2008 08:43PM PST

Not sure what to say, really. You open it and you get a toolbar with no window. The only workable option seems to be "New Module". If you select that, you get a window with a bunch of not-well-explained interface elements, some of which are misspelled. If you select to search the Mac filesystem for audio files, click "browse" and then choose either a folder of files or even just an individual audio file, you get a window that says, "Cataloging Audio Files ..." and then the program locks up indefinitely. I'm not sure how this is supposed to qualify as an application of any sort, much less a good one.
