Product Description:

Accounted is a powerful solution with many of the features seen in much more expense accounting programs, but with the ease of use of a much smaller application. Powerful features such as double entry accounting, accounts receivable/payable, split transactions, and check printing are included. But we also focused on the interface and user experience. Accounted includes many small touches, such as the "totals ticker" that instantly shows several totals at the bottom of each account. You could easily, for example, view and compare the total income of a certain type for this month, last month, this fiscal quarter, this fiscal year and more without making any mouse clicks.

What's new in this version:

  • Can now select a column for Payee when importing transactions via delimited text
  • Can enter opening dates and balances for new Liability and Equity accounts
  • Will now display a Company information column in the People tracker
  • Can now search the People tracker by company as well
  • Fixed issue where balance would not immediately update when deleting certain items
  • Worked around an issue on Mac OS X 10.5.2 where mouse clicks wouldn't be recognized in a sheet window with a floating window open
  • Will no longer include non-taxable accounts on taxable-only reports if they are the subaccount of a taxable account
  • Fixed crash caused by entering a name with an apostrophe into the Quick Add Person window
  • Fixed crash caused by choosing File Menu > Export > Account to Text File when no Account is selected in the main window

Accounted ReviewI'm questioning - Version: 1.0.1, 12/10/2007 11:24PM PST

It looks like kind of a cool program, but the demo is continuous rather than by use. I used it one day, then got busy and by the time I tried it again, it had expired. They say you can get an extension, which I emailed and got, but the code didn't work. So now that my site is online and I'm needing a program, I can't even look at it to see if I like it enough to buy it.

They really need to change the demo thing to something like Billable, where they allow you to use it, *really* get to know how to use it, but only allow a certain amount of contacts before you need to buy. (It's 20 in Billable.)

It's too bad, I might have been interested, but they lost my sale because they're so stringent on the demo.
