I've been struggling with finding a decent MAME frontend for Linux, there's just not a single good frontend there. Pretty much the same day as I got my brand new iMac I found this app and it works great.

Only issue I ever have is that it gets mute sometimes when it's been idle and I've been listening to music in iTunes and watching movies etc.. A simple restart of the application solves that though.

The UI is simple and intuitive (don't forget stylish!), a true Mac application.

While this is a great program, I'm concerned about the lack of activity with Mac development compared to the Windows version. Windows is now at 1.24 and the Sourceforge forums are practically dead.

This program needs to be advertised on the same sites as the Windows version, such as MameWorld.net.

I'm very happy that someone takes care about the mame project on mac. MAME OS X is not that polished as MacMAME, but it's Universal and up to date.
