I was just going to say the same thing. A perfect example of a stupid widget, the kind that doesn't really do anything you couldn't already do yourself in a browser.

Additionally, the widget sends you to fonts.com through an affiliate link, so all font purchases directly benefit the widget creator. I have no problem with that, just think it should be publicly disclosed.

The widget has a single text field and a button. Type in some text, click 'Search', and the widget opens your browser to fonts.com, and searches for the text string.

It escapes me how this is better than a bookmark to the fonts.com search page.
