Product Description:
MoKgVm2DVD is an OS X application that provides the tools needed to prepare .ogm and .mkv files for use in DivX enabled DVD players. Even if this is not your goal, you may find MoKgVm2DVD useful in handling these two types of files.
Key features include:
- Convert .ogm and .mkv files into .avi files ready for use in Divx enabled DVD players.
- Extract individual video, audio and/or subtitle tracks.
- Preview selected .ogm/.mkv tracks for easy language identification.
- Burn permanent subtitles into the video with location, size and font control
- Intuitive interface for easy conversions.
- Queue list and batch processing capabilities.
What's new in this version:
- Updated Mkvextract to v.2.0.0 so MKV extraction is now universal binary.
- The help menu now include links to help page on the EmmGunn website.

Until VLC is released (and can properly handle all files) there is hardly other converter of .ogm. I don't see the point in conversion function itself because there's no better converter than VLC — I checked it — but it can extract video/audio to .avi container — change format without changing codecs what is just perfectly for me. (how else could I encode anime?)

This program is great for converting mkv's to dvd. The only problem I had with it was that it didn't seem to add 5.1 audio tracks to the dvd and instead converted the sound to stereo(2 channel). Hopefully it will allow either passthrough and/or reconverting to 5.1 in this version. Aside from this the app is great.
