May not be the definitive answer . . . just yet - Version: 1.3, 11/2/2007 03:22PM PST

Granted I've not had as many hard screen crashes as others, but I have been hit. Thus, this patch seemed like the solution. Installed without a problem and I tried it on a graphic intensive program such as "First to Fight" through broadband connection. Yep, got a screen freeze but not to black; just stopped the motion completely. It was necessary to do a hard reboot. So, perhaps we're not there just yet.

Based on Apple's own Discussion Forums, this update has not solved any problems for most users - BUT it has caused screen problems for many more. Suggest waiting for the dust to settle on this one before installing.
