Product Description:

JonDo enables its users to stay anonymous on the internet by giving access to strong anonymisation systems. It hides the users IP address from website operators, network admins, providers, intelligence agencies and even the operators of the accessed anonymisation systems. Each application that should be anonymised has to be configured separately for using JonDo. No registry settings have to be changed, and administration rights are not needed, neither for installation, nor for running the program. The software is open source and free for use. It grants access to both free and commercial anonymisation services.

JonDo ReviewUseless program - Version: 00.09.010, 1/20/2008 12:00AM PST

This program is completely and utterly useless! It will not let me connect to any of the so called free proxy services. So it does not give the anonymity it promises.

And even though this is clearly a mac version of the program, the only documentation available is for Windows. Hey folks, if you are going to write Mac software and provide documentation, you may want to consider doping this for the Mac also.

In the trash with it!

Even the application is not really called JonDo. What gives?

Set-up instructions ask me to do something in system prefs that is not possible. What gives?

Windoze Windoze everywhere...what gives?

No documentation. If you need anonymity, you sure as hell want to get it right. What gives?

Plonk

It works better than I expected. The interface doesn't follow Apple rules, but it's a java piece of software so I already knew it. Speed really depends on what service you're connecting too, some are very slow while others are actually fine for browsing.
