Product Description:

This is a tool that I originally designed just for me that friends kept asking me to share with them--so I've decided to release it into the wild.

Birthday Bar is a simple utility that lists upcoming birthdays, taken from your Address Book, on the desktop. I designed it to be a persistent reminder of the birthdays that are coming up--something to be noted when I turn on the computer in the morning and then ignored for most of the rest of the day.

This particular version has added easy links to e-mail or open the Address Book record for the person with the birthday and even has a quick link to an E-Card site.

What's new in this version:

This is the first release of Birthday Bar to more than a handful of friends so right now everything is new.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.4.2 or better (PPC and Intel)

Birthday Bar CommentaryLocale not respected - Version: 0.3, 7/25/2007 05:54AM PST

Paolo Cordone
Interesting little utility, but for me it is not useful, as it does not seem to respect the system's locale. I don't want US date format, yet I cannot seem to find any way to change it back to European format. Any idea?
