Product Description:
TuneRanger connects iTunes-running computers over a network, allowing music, video, and playlists to be merged from one iTunes library to another seamlessly. TuneRanger even works across platforms letting iTunes on Windows communicate and synchronize with iTunes on Mac or any combination. TuneRanger offers true synchronization. It compares songs and videos on all computers and only moves what has changed. It even does this for playlists.
Power users will appreciate TuneRanger’s more advanced sync settings and filters and its ability to perform bi-directional iPod synchronization - including iPod to iTunes transfers.
TuneRanger incorporates numerous tools designed to keep iTunes and iPods clean and optimized. These tools include: an automated duplicate manager, an orphan file remover, tools to remove unlicensed songs, add or remove disconnected files, and a utility to copy album art from the iTunes database to the actual music files making the album art portable and accessible to other music managers and players.
What's new in this version:
- The speed and reliability of the automatic discovery system was greatly improved. TuneRanger can now locate other Mac TuneRanger installations on much larger networks and is no longer limited to class-c networks for auto-discovery.
- Fixed issues where the correct IP was not being chosen on systems with multiple active adapters or on systems running Parallels and Fusion.
- Fixed a random crash that occurred when the UI (user interface display) was updated and at the same time another TuneRanger-running computer was discovered.
- Fixed a random bug where the same computer showed multiple times in the list of found remotes. The second copy would not have the correct name and if selected would not work.
- Fixed random crashes on the code that determined a user’s Apple ID. This was limited to users whose iTunes .plist was corrupt.
- Fixed issues where the user interface would not update properly after a computer was discovered.
- Fixed a crash that randomly occurred when a remote computer was discovered.
- Fixed a random crash after a sync was completed and TuneRanger did internal cleanup or sync finalization.
- Fixed a case where user interface was not reflecting the correct settings because the sync did not perform correctly.

How difficult should that be?? Compare the libraries, and copy what's missing from one to the other.
This program is too stupid to accomplish that!!!
Every attempt of having TuneRanger recognize my library ends in an error.
WASTE OF $30 IMO.

Help from Acertant was no help sadly but at least they did respond with suggestions to try.
Hoping for a better release in the near future. My release is numbered v1.0 build 270 but the web site shows only beta release numbers so what gives here? and I am Mac only, no Windows problems to add to the mix.

I have sent a support message 3 times with no response. I have tried everything I know but nothing. Looks like I'll try something else.
My client really wanted this to work between 2 sound studios, one in New York and one in Sydney.
