Essential iTunes preference - will not work if this is set wrong - Version: 0.14, 1/11/2009 08:06AM PST

One important thing to note is that each show is temporarily created at ~/.SPGTiVoShow.mp4, then imported into iTunes. Therefore, you must have the "Copy files to iTunes Music Folder when adding to library" option checked, under iTunes/Preferences/Advanced. Otherwise, when you download a bunch of shows, they will all point to the same temporary file.
Best TiVo/Mac Interface Yet

It isn't pretty, but it works, and it is the ONLY software package that seems to work in Leopard (I've tried them all, except Toast, which I consider extortion). It downloads the shows you specify, and sticks them in iTunes. When it's upgraded to use a standard Mac interface, I'll give it 5 stars, and I'll make a cheerful donation to the author.
Excellent and simple

The software just works. You set it running, and it just gets your shows.
Is it perfect? nope... but it is simple, just like a season pass. It handles everything for you.
Is it mac-like? nope... but it is simple and works with 10.5
Does it have a laundry list of features? nope... but having it download directly to i-tunes is great for someone that is busy and doesn't want to spend time with managing the files.
How about the speed? Because it is simple it is also fast, I found it to be much faster than similar programs.

Everything about its functionality is fine, there's just some features that seem obvious to me as a user are missing: 1) There should be an option to turn off any converting so that you can get the raw file from the TiVo and then use whatever program you want to convert post-transfer. Obviously, this would prevent the files from being immediately usable in iTunes, but that's okay. 2) You should be able to choose a path where you can save the transferred files.

So far, I have found one way to delay this response from SPG until the next time to launch it. If you duplicate the video file in the Finder then delete the original, SPG won't notice until you quit and relaunch it. The only attributes you can change on the original video in iTunes are the checkbox in the playlist and the Not New status. As above, changing anything else will trigger a new download. Then, you can drag and drop the copy into iTunes. It will appear under Movies where you can set all of its attributes.
Unfortunately, this workaround defeats half of the functionality of SPG. That said, it is currently the best solution I have found so far without using Windoze.
The developer does acknowledge this behavior on his website. Based upon the 2007 release of 0.14, it appears that he has stopped work on the application.
