Product Description:

Uninstalling on Mac OS X; let's solve it once and for all!

What can be considered the exact opposite of dragging an application to the Applications folder? Opening another application, dragging the unwanted application to that application, clicking a button, clicking another button, quitting? Nope!

The exact opposite would have to be... dragging the application to the trash. Ah, there you go! This is exactly what AppTrap does. Whenever you drag an application to the trash, a dialog window will pop up, asking if you want to delete the associated system files too. Simple as that.

AppTrap is a completely free utility for uninstalling applications on Mac OS X.

What's new in this version:

  • Fix bug where AppTrap was terminated every time the prefpane was launched

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.4

This has worked flawlessly for me. Much more convenient than having to drag the icon to AppZapper or AppDelete since it works regardless of the method you use to trash the application.

Beware, This app trashed not only files rendered useless by the removal of their associated applications but also trashed almost all my other preferences as well.
I had to reinstall FCP, OuickTime Pro, rebuild my iTunes list as well as iPhoto, Address Book and Mail. There was no simple way to put everything back from the Trash so it was a backup from late last year.
