Product Description:

SABnzbd is a free news client with many abilities, such as
  • Download files from your newshost
  • Access the news client from any internet connection.
    Connect from work, school, wherever and tell SABnzbd to download. Your downloads are ready when you get home.

What's new in this version:

Bugs solved:
  • Update unrar for Windows to 3.90 (solves CRC errors when unpacking)
  • Don't show NZB-s no longer present in the RSS feed in the preview (they won't be matched anyway)
  • Default skin: Hitting enter after changing the RSS definition would delete the definition.
  • Send Group did not always work properly
    Features:
  • Add Cheetah 2.2 compatibility (primarily for Linux)
  • Add field to API-qstatus XML output.

Configuration is a little tricky, but once you get it up and running, it makes quick work of any newsgroup download. I have it configured to email whenever a job is completed and automatically start downloading any NZB file I put into a special watched folder on my desktop. You can even configure it to organize your shows by Show, Season and Episode.

Another plus: thanks to the tiny size of NZB files, I can remotely trigger downloads by uploading them to my home machine in the correct folder via SFTP. By the time I get home, the latest episode of whatever TV show I want to watch is usually ready to view.

Tip: I use binsearch.info to do searches and generate NZB files. Works great!
