... I hope not. Cause it's seems to make my bestbuy "rocketfish" webcam (that I only got as a gift, so don't laugh) work with ichat finally. (Note: I have ichatusbcam installed also) In the demo everything works, except for a "watermark" over the picture which to remove requires paying the 59 smackers. Maybe the software will turn out to be a revelation, but I think 59's steep. I was thinking the fair price would be 29 (and the cool price, 10). But I have friends waiting to be ichatted sans watermark, soooo... Okay, but here's my real complaint. I PAID!! YET.... no serial number was received in exchange. What's up with that? Black-op's site isn't set up for direct payments, it's handled third-party. There are choices, and I picked google-checkout. Okay, but see, here's the thing, so I P A I D... 59 bucks -- this was an hour ago -- and I don't have a serial number!! This to me smacks of wrongness. Where are these guys based out of... Denmark! Cause there's something rotten about a system set up not to send an email with a serial # to a guy that's P A I D to receive one. Kay, it's been an hour, and I guess I'll just wait...

I use
IOXperts and I have the iChatUSBcam for iChat, I'm not sure if I have the Quickcam 4000 driver installed or not.
I have no other drivers, no Macam not Chax stuff that conflicts with cam drivers.
I have applications like Bear's hand, aMSN, iCamShare, but dumped all apps that were slow or didn't play nice, like not turning the cam off when quiting.
I never use two applicatons at the same time that use the cam. I only try to use one or two application as a rule.
I haven't tried this newest version but I will now.

Well it took like a minute for my cam to kick in. I think this app is for a really fast quad G5 with tons of Ram. I'm still confused on what the application does. It's clearly not for me I guess. I'll stay with quicktime pro and iMovie 06. I'm sure there are people out there that can understand this app and love it, good for them. I just hope they don't live by me.

Ms Black got back to me & told me how to fix the problem. Had to delete the QT component & let a new one be created by re-installing the app.

I installed the demo which worked fine but was watermarked.
Then the video stopped working. I bought a serial thinking it would fix the problem.
But nope, the software keeps saying "Unable to install QT component. Please try again."
My external iSight's video doesn't show, neither do video files.
I emailed Mr & Ms Black & am waiting for their response.

I love CamTwist, but I've not been able to use it because it and Delicious Library don't play nicely together. I installed the watermarked version of CamCamX, and reinstalled CamTwist, and lo and behold, I can use CamTwist with Skype to amuse my granddaughter, and still use the bar code scanner on Delicious Library to catalogue my books. Excellent. I've paid for it now, and am just waiting for the registration code.
Nice idea, but... - Version: 1.001, 6/21/2007 07:12PM PST

The release notes explicity state that the application works with those Macs with built-in iSight cameras; however, it would be nice if the developers expanded this to include external firewire iSight cameras as well. I downloaded the application and tested it out with my setup which inculdes an external iSight camera connected via firewire to my MacPro, and it didn't work. Incorporating a larger range of camera adjustments other than just for low lighting would go a long ways to improving the application as well.

How do I fix this?
What about my other mac...it's an iMac and runs TIGER. Will I be having problems with that one too if I upgrade?
Please help.
