2.3 : multiple audio track issue, sleep mode issue - Version: 2.3, 12/8/2008 07:52AM PST

landaretGenerally speaking : 2 audio tracks (maybe more) means no sound when movie plays first time; you have to select manually one ; if the selected language is "english", you wont be able to switch to another language without stopping first the movie and replay it.
Something else : the sleep mode, which was accessed by pressing "menu" more than 6 sec (before 2.2) disappeared in 2.2, and was supposedly reintroduced in 2.3 ; it was, but only on the main menu ; it used to work everywhere ... which was very useful when you had your TV shut down and wanted to send your ATV to sleep mode, too.
Remote learning rocks - Version: 2.3, 11/20/2008 08:31PM PST

Finally you can ditch that annoying tiny remote, and use your DVR remote (or any other) with AppleTV. After learning the basic functions (the up/down/left/right and play-pause and menu--the ones on the apple remote), there's 9 more functions it'll learn: play, stop, pause, FF, REW, Skip back, Skip forward, and Chapter up & down.
Makes the AppleTV MUCH easier to control and less clutter on the coffee table.
[With the standard TimeWarner DVR remote, it took a few tries in programming its AUX button to be a DVD player that actually sent out a signal for the Skip-back button... the one that worked best is a virtual Sharp DVD player; only the blue "menu" button didn't work so I used the grey "exit" button. It's code 252 for the remote -- UR5-8400.]
