Sigh.... Saft finally works on the Safari 3.0.3 beta, the first time it has worked for me on any of the Safari 3 betas. I'm very glad to have it back. It's amazing how soon a luxury can become a necessity. Combined with GoodVibrations CSS, all those annoying ads are now blocked. Which is great because my Version Tracker subscription will soon expire and I wasn't looking forward to the reappearance of ads on the site. This is relevant to a discussion of Saft because Version Tracker is no longer offering the less expensive membership that just eliminates ads. They now require a Pro subscription, even if you don't want or need to use the standalone Version Tracker Pro application. And they have not fixed the scaling problem with their main page where the right-hand column expands to over half the page width, crushing the more important left-hand column, if you increase the font display size, which I need to do in order to read it easily. Since they have not responded to my oft-expressed concerns on this issue, I'm voting with my wallet and refusing to reward them for violating accessibility standards this way. Hence, the value of Saft for me. I apologize for the rant if none of this means anything to you.

I've got a solution to get Saft running with Safari 3.0.3. Please take a look at my blog.
For all non-German-speaking people: Go to /Library/InputManagers/Saft and show package content of Saft.bundle via context menu (I hope this is the correct menu item in english). Go to Contents and edit the Info.plist. Look for SaftSupportedSafariBuild and add a new array with a string with the value 522.12.1
Save the file and restart Safari. Now Saft will load correctly. This works for me from the first day of Safari 3.0.3 (now this will be 5 or 6 days).

For Sharon.
Just open the info.plist file in text edit (Make a backup first) Then scroll to the end and copy say the last entry <string>522.12.1</string> add a new line by placing the curser at the beginning of the just copied string and hit return then paste the copy in to the new line at the top (You may need to tab to get them all to line up then modify the version number to the version you are wishing to use (It will need to be the same seed so for this example 522.xx.x but not 523.xx.x) Then save and relaunch Safari.
How ever - Please Mr Hao Li throw us a bone sir. You had better hope no one else develops a viable alternative to Saft or you will be screwwed. Your clients will leap in droves.
Now al we need to do it to get rid of the annoying reminders - Hay Mr Hao Li According to our agreement - We paid for it already it already!! Remember all updates.
