Product Description:
Compatible with other major office suites, OpenOffice.org is free to download, use, and distribute. Download it now, and get:

- Impress: the fastest, most powerful way to create effective multimedia presentations.

- Base: lets you manipulate databases seamlessly. Create and modify tables, forms, queries, and reports, all from within OpenOffice.org

What's new in this version:
- Printing now uses an aqua native print dialog
- Various bugs, crashes, performance, and cosmetic improvements
- The native file picker should work now (though there are 2 unlabeled checkboxes)
- The QuickStarter is now supported on Mac OS X issue 67502
- Copy and Paste now works in the Hyperlink dialog issue 78680
- Icons are no longer shown in the menus by default on Mac OS X issue 77595
- Extentions can now be installed through the GUI issue 83126
- Improved scrolling when using a scroll wheel issue 84825 issue 85511
- Real version number is shown in the Mac OS X Finder's Get Info Window.
- The recent items list in the Apple menu is now populated issue 85739
- Faster loading and saving of files issue 85798
- New Start Centre issue 85963 Blog Post
There are a number of things that do not work in this version. Please do not report anything in the following list. The known issues include:
- OpenOffice.org still has problems with Aqua's device resolution indepence
- Opening a document to open in OpenOffice.org from another application, such as the Finder, Mail or Safari, will mean that OpenOffice.org will open with a blank document. You need to open all documents from within OpenOffice.org
- Starting OpenOffice.org from a shared/remote folder does not work

I'm very happy at how this project's come along for OS X—especially having been a Mac user through the 90s and knowing the jilted feeling of learning of the cancellation of software projects for the Mac platform entirely!
I'd been trying a 2.3 build they'd made available and, unfortunately, found it slower than NeoOffice but I look forward to OpenOffice reaching the maturity of having across-the-board feature sets and releases and perhaps not requiring NeoOffice builds

I have tried this app today. It was expected as replacement for Neo office which works good and slow.
It looks good fast but have a lot of the bugs yet. I was not able to run Calc application
