FoneLink ReviewProblems I was having with my Sony Ericsson Z780i? - Version: 2.1.5, 5/27/2009 09:53AM PST

I purchased a Sony Ericsson W380a which was supported using FoneLink. I was very happy with FoneLink and its features. I was able to transfer ringtones and music from my iTunes library onto my W380a using FoneLink via my Mac computer. I decided too purchase a second Sony Ericsson Z780i which was supported by FoneLink. I tried using the Z780i with FoneLink and my Mac keep freezings. I contacted FoneLink support team on May 8, 2009 and they responded immediately too solve this problem. We tried many functions with the Z780i and FoneLink with the help of FoneLink's support team via e-mails and phone calls. I sent FoneLinks phone logs of the Z780i earlier in week of May 25, 2009. FoneLink e-mailed me with their concludes that something was wrong with the Z780i. FoneLink was not able to open the ports on my phone.

Ditch the PC and Nokia's PC Suite! FoneLink has worked very well for me so far. No connectivity issues, strong on usability and fantastic functionality. I would recommend this product to anyone.

This programme used to work when I first bought it, but I haven't been able to get it working for a couple of months now. I have contacted the company a couple of times and they have responded with suggestions, but still it doesn't work. I have wasted so much time with this, it's time I gave up.

Nice looking app. Unfortunatly it crashes often and duplicates lines in the adressfields. So I had to clean out 500 andresses by hand. Same with the agenda. duplicates and mixes...
Friendly company, but they need to brush up the product BEFORE the release.

Having the latest and fastest MacBookPro, I wonder how can this app. crashes all the time.
Not only it takes time to add support to new phones, but it crashed also my Sony Erickson C-902. When it was not crashing with my older phones the interface was quite good and functional, although sluggish. I think they need to test better the apps before selling them.

Whatever this program may or may not do, this company has excellent support. I had a problem connecting my Nokia 3109c. After writing an email they immediately starting working on my problem and did not stop until they solved it :).

I downloaded the program so as to backup the sms-es on my Samsung U900. Only to find out that the application says that "The connected mobile phone does not support SMS", I find this indeed strange when I can transfer image files but not sms. Is there a way to make this work?

No Sanyo phones are supported. Not a single one.
Before you even bother to download the demo version, check the supported phones at the dev's website.
Looks a cool little app but it's useless for me.

As a PC user, I had for many years used Nokia's PC Suite, so when I changed over to Mac I wanted somthing that would do the same things again. Initially I did have problems getting my Nokia 8600 Luna to connect my Mac (without Fonelink), iSync wouldn't even recognise my phone! However, Novamedia wrote software for me "on the fly" to solve this problem, they couldn't have been any more help than they were. I would wholehearted recommend this product, which has made my life easier!
