Product Description:

Be as creative with your workspace as you are with your work. Diamond is a simple yet very powerful Rich Text document editor that gives you unprecedented control over how it looks and behaves on a per-window basis, allowing you to create flexible, customized workspaces and a unique look and feel for your working environment. Diamond offers columnar editing, similar to the multicolumn views of Amar Sagoo's "Tofu" text reader, dividing a document into pages and displaying them horizontally (it doesn't create or edit documents that are formatted with multiple text column layouts as in Pages or InDesign however) and a flexible window system. Under the hood there is rock solid support for the Cocoa text handling system, and aggressive support for Apple Automator. Diamond reads and writes RTF, RTFD, Text, and MS DOC formats.

More info, screenshots, User Forum, and Tutorials at the developer's site, http://www.geoffreyalexander.com (users of Mac OS 10.4 [Tiger] can also find a build for that system there as well).

Operating System Requirements:

It divides a document into pages and displays these horizontally rather than vertically.
I guess this makes it a document (multicolumn editor).
I was hoping for a (multicolumn document) editor.

I just downloaded this. I haven't had a chance to use it extensively, but from what I can see it seems pretty useful. I'm looking forward to writing in it.

I have made a couple of internal fixes and added a titlebar option based on recent feedback. This new version can be downloaded with the "Check for Updates" feature in the app after downloading the 2.0 release package.
