I don't think an application is necessary. It is possible to learn touch typing online. Go to: http://www.sense-lang.org/typing/

This is simply a brilliant application. Being and Using 2 languages on a daily basic does have drawbacks, such as having to learn touch typing on 2 localisation.
I encouraged my Nephew who's at law school to get himself a mac, so he could learn Touch-Typing with TypeTrainer, and gain an unfair advantage.
I still find myself loading the odd piece of beautiful literature, put my headset on with whatever Trip-Hop takes my fancy, then unwind and chill whilst improving my typing skills.
THis is a MUST HAVE app, and it's donation ware.
What else could you wish for ?

I love this typing tutor! I have tried other, commercial programs that didn't match these features. It automatically recognizes your keyboard layout, so you get exercises with your own characters if you use a non-english keyboard. You can also load any custom rtf text file or get text from the browser window. It has a lot of other useful settings, and best of all - it's completely free!

The work flow of me and my computer is enhancing steadily since I train with this fine application. I am looking forward to the final release which maybe will include even more smart features.
nice interface,
you can import text for training,
has a metronome timer that you can click off
and most importantly for me it was multi-lingual
it works beautifully for Arabic
very well done
