Mystical Mahjong ReviewA few missing bits - Version: 1.4, 11/28/2007 10:04PM PST

Beautiful tiles, easy to distinguish. I'm even OK with the hand. Got used to it after a few games. I don't care about the music or the special effects—pretty but just take up time and made me feel like I had to sneeze. (?) I appreciate the fact that the game doesn't take over the computer. That I can play and switch mid-game if I have to to another app and then back again. The layouts are nice as well. So definitely some nice features.

The problem I have with this game is the lack of keyboard commands AND the fact that there is no tile count, so you never know how close you got to clearing the board. I don't like the limited undos either. Or having to go through multiple screens to simply quit.

Ditto Panamacoffee's remarks. I had to laugh about the "ghoulish hand" but he/she is so right. Replace that with a magic wand that looks more like a cursor, allow us to mute the annoying music, and we're good to go. My only problem then would be the price. I like this and the Mystical Solitaire game (again with the ghoulish hand) but I can't bring myself to pay $20 each when there are so many good free or inexpensive ones out there that do the job. I would be willing to pay $10 each, but that's my final offer.
