Premiere Pro Won't even Install on my BRAND NEW MacBook Pro!! - Version: 4.0.1, 3/28/2009 02:38PM PST

I have installed every other CS3 (and most CS4) apps on my mac w/o any problems and when I go to install Premiere Pro all it says is " Sorry Cannot Install... Please Quit" It's like the old "mean" program that I had in computer class in Elementary School (back in 1990) where all the error message would say was "SORRY, DOES NOT COMPUTE.... DOES NOT COMPUTE" but it wouldn't tell me why!!

If I can ever get it installed, I'm sure it will be great but this is FRUSTRATING!!

Premiere Pro is great component of Adobe Creative Suite 3.

Adobe is alone in offering a suite of powerful image processing programs that are completely integrated to produce an unmatched work flow.

Premiere Pro is a powerful component of the suite. While I'm not a professional editor, I am a media professional and Premiere Pro does everything I need and much more.

Adobe abandoned the Mac market because Final Cut Pro made its first appearance (way back in the Classic days). Now they are trying to get them back by releasing Premiere for Intel only. This seems like a stupid strategy in the short run, because most users are still PowerPC.

In the long run, this will wind up being good (since Apple will most likely stop PPC support within 5 years), BUT...the fact that many Mac users feel burned by Adobe all around means they won't be switching from Final Cut or even iMovie anytime soon.
