Product Description:
SudokuX is a Sudoku freeware allowing three playing modes :
Sudoku grids can come from text files, SudokuX files or Internet Websites ; the software can also generate some sudoku grids in adequacy with some parameters (difficulty / symetry).
The software graphical parameters are fully tunable (colors, fonts, cursors...), and tuning files can be saved.
Each SudokuX file can have his own graphical parameters.
The software offer many logical helps to solve the grids.
Document-based structure allow to work with several grids at the same time.
There are many printing option and a special combo printing allowing to print 4 grids with independant parameters on one page.
Full screen mode allowed.

I tried this program and it worked fine on my work computer running 10.4.8. However, I cannot open the disk image file running 10.3.9, so I can't test (at least until I get back to work to transfer the file manually).

This Sudoku program has a unique "Just One Hint" mode which is really useful for learning how to do harder Sudoku's. The interface takes a little bit of getting used to, but eventually I can do most of the things I want it to do. The price can't be beat. This is worth using for the hint feature alone.
You can enter your own games and or play one provided!
This has advanced features which allows you to detect Wings and Chains etc. This is not as sophisticated as Sudoku Susser but the interface is much better looking.
I have not found out how to get it to tell you that you have entered a wrong entry and this is probably the only thing missing.
Having said that, it is definitely worth the download.
NOTE that if you're not an advanced player you'll probably find it too heavy but if you know what Sudoku is all about, try it out!
