iScrapbook CommentaryDeveloper does not respond to inquiries - Version: 2.0.1, 4/16/2009 07:52PM PST

Beware of doing business with Chronos, the developer of iScrapbook. I bought iScrapbook at an OfficeMax in late March 2009 only to find it is version 1. The developers Web site explains how to submit a request for a free upgrade with 3-to-5 day turnaround. I have made multiple submissions and submitted multiple questions for weeks on their online comment form. There is zero response. The company has no phone number on their site nor listed anywhere that I can find. There is no street address and almost no info available anywhere about Chronos. My guess is there is nobody employed in customer service to respond to any inquiry much less to provide an upgrade registration code.

Chronos allowed OfficeMax to continue selling an obsolete version and are providing zero customer service to those buyers. This is not a good company to support with our dollars.

It is a shame the company appears to be disreputable because the application is actually quite good.

iScrapbook 2.0 is an excellent product and their support staff matches up to their product!
They have a nice assortment of pre-designed templates to choose from.
I also like their online store (iscrapbook.com) which has a few predesigned templates as well. These you have to purchase though (but not expensive at all).
Their online store also has (at a very inexpensive price) kits that are available which include paper, embellishments, word art, etc.. that you can you over and over for various projects. The great thing about the kits is that they are interchangeable. So you can use paper from one kit and embellishments or word art from another. The possibilities are endless. There is a sample kit that comes with the product but its just enough to make you realize that you need and will want more kits.

Their support staff has been Extremely helpful to me as well! I have no complaints about their support! I contacted the support department twice and both times they have helped me where I was 100% satisfied.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to do digital scrapbooking! I am very satisfied with this product.

iScrapbook ReviewGreat digital scrapbooking software! - Version: 1.1.1, 8/14/2007 11:46AM PST

Photoshop is great. But there is a LOT to learn, and it takes a huge amount of time. Digi scrappers on the Mac side do have a really nice alternative. iScrapbook allows you to create most of the same looks/effects on your digital pages, in a fraction of the time & with much greater ease.

The program has room to grow. Tablet support would be cool. What it does though, it does well. The program is very well thought out. It understands what a scrapbooker wants to do, and makes it fun and uncomplicated.

I hope to see more people giving it a try. It is truly one of my favorite pieces of Mac software.
