I have been using DesktopCollage for so long that I completely forgot that I had paid for it. I posted here a short while ago describing it as "free". Alwin Troost quite rightly corrected me and I have deleted my previous post. Sincere apologies, Alwin, I was not evil-intentioned, just getting senile. I advise everyone to get one or other of these apps - having an easily changed, customised desktop is a joy.

Makes it a snap to keep your favorite photos 'pinned' on your desktop. Reminds me of an old-fashioned cork board.
The 'smart' sets that automatically update and the global menu for switching to different layouts are highlights.
Well worth the small price.
