QuickFind CommentarySeems perfect for that extra step. - Version: 1.1, 4/23/2007 05:28PM PST

Unless I'm missing something, the is a great solution for anyone who wants to add an extra step to their web search process. I ran a query and upon clicking one of the search-specific buttons my browser was launched and I ended up back on the net anyways. I've never been keen on going back and forth between applications, especially for paltry benefits like those I perceive quickfind to offer.

I didn't rate this just in case I missed a feature that localizes and focuses this particular problem-solution to the application itself. Unfortunately the within the first ten seconds of trying the application it immediately felt like a glorified "extra-step widget" (i.e. widgets that offer a specific search functionality only to turn around and send you right to the site inside your default browser anyways. Shining opposite these glorified browser-launchers are powerful little binary buddies like the Kuler widget and the Wikipedia widget (the wikipedia widget not only returns solid results inside the widget, but also lets you edit wiki entries via the widget)

My apologies if I missed an "in-app" functionality feature.
