Nemo CommentaryNeeds to support yEnc decoding - Version: 0.7.166, 7/15/2007 05:55PM PST

Like the title says. Much of my Usenet browsing is of image groups (the various *.anime groups in particular), and if a newsreader doesn't decode and display images, it's not of much use to me.

(Also, you should have a native speaker of English review the copy both in Nemo and on your web site. I mean this as friendly advice. :-))

Nemo ReviewPretty nice... - Version: 0.7.164, 7/5/2007 09:37AM PST

:: MILE ::
I'm not really surfing the Usenet that much anymore, but this is quite a nice well-featured app with some potential...! The price seems okay, but only after it reaches final state, please...!! (The dev might consider disabling the "reminder" until then...!)

I was willing to give it 3 stars at its current stage but just to make up for that moron who commented right before me, I'll make it 4...!

Nemo Commentarycharging for a BETA? WTF! - Version: 0.6.156, 6/14/2007 08:12PM PST

I really dislike this trend of developers charging users to try out a beta version of their creations. What's worse is the few who then charge an "upgrade fee" if you want to upgrade from the 0.9.x beta version to the 1.0 version, taking lessons from the biggest scammer of all time: Microsloth.

To the developer of Meno*: When it's ready for release, then charge us. In the meantime, as an earlier poster noted, you ought to be paying the beta testers. You ought to be glad that people download and check it out without holding a tin cup out hoping for a few pennies to satisfy your avarice.

*Yep, I spelled it "meno" as in meno-pause. As in mean ol' greedy developer.

Nemo CommentaryYou want me to pay for a "public beta"?! - Version: 0.5.122, 4/20/2007 06:48AM PST

It's a promising app. But despite being labelled as a public beta, it keeps nagging you to pay $15.

Nobody should be asked to pay for a beta version. Betas are for testing, if anything, you should be paying us for helping you find your bugs ;) When you release version 1.0, that's when you ask people to buy it.
