Product Description:

QuitsApps is a utility for quitting groups of applications. You can either use "quit flags" to mark a collection of applications for immediate termination, or create a schedule for quitting applications at different times. Subsequently you can relaunch the last set of terminated applications. QuitsApps is part of a "Utility Bundle." Visit the bundle's home page at http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html for information on how to register.

What's new in this version:

  • The management and editing of dates has been improved. The display of dates in the application list table is now conventional, and is also no longer "editable in place."
  • An option to use "force quitting" is now available in Preferences, primarily to manage processes that don't respond to "quit (Apple) events." (There is still no guarantee the application will be quit.)
  • Bug fix: When the computer woke from sleep the program would try to run a schedule even if nothing was scheduled to run (which resulted in an alert being displayed.)

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 or higher

QuitsApps ReviewExcellent - Version: 1.0.4, 6/11/2007 04:43AM PST

psr--2008
I've used Quitling, which I still use, and it works well. It can only kill one thing at a time. I also use Quit Anything, but it seems to have stopped further development. It occasionally gets AppleScript errors and is somewhat unstable. I does kill as many things as you want. This is an advantage over Quitling.

I've pretty much switched over to QuitsApps because it works first time, every time. I use Retrospect for backups and it takes over the computer when it runs on my old G4. I use QuitsApps to kill everything before Retrospect runs on the days that it runs. I made a donation and will pay for registration if it becomes shareware. It is such a great time saver.
