VMware Fusion CommentaryLatest VMware Fusion - Version: 3.0, 11/21/2009 05:07AM PST

heikot
I've loved versions 1-2 of this virtual machine software. Windows ran with blazing speed, all apps ran as expected and network drives/folders were accessible without issue. Well, all of this has changed with 3.0. Startup times are reminiscent of running Virtual PC - we all know what a disaster that was. I've lost connectivity to all of my network folders and some programs simply won't run. The overall system responsiveness is horrible. I would return this product in an instant, but as others have commented, finding where to get technical assistance or customer service is virtually impossible. I'm going to switch back to version 2 until VMware fusion 3 is stable, responsive and doesn't cause me more post-traumatic stress.

VMware Fusion Troubleshooting ReportBreaks Print Spooler in Boot Camp - Version: 3.0, 11/8/2009 01:57AM PST

In Windows 7 64 Bit when I installed fusion 3.0 tools and then booted back into Boot Camp (to play a game & work site webmail) i discovered after installed the VMware Tools into Windows 7 the Print Spooler would not start, so I couldn't print the only fix was to go back into Snow Leopard and run Fusion, deinstalling the VMware tools (when finished with Fusion) to natively boot into Windows 7. I sure hope VMware fixes this Print Spooler issue.
