MindSalt Time & Expense ReviewTrial Account Review - Version: 2.7, 4/9/2007 09:08PM PST

I came across this doing a search for Timesheets. In response to CrispyCritter... they mention right on their website that it's a hosted solution for those companies that don't want to hassle with the server stuff. I'm only interested in tracking time... it's actually (at least right now) $5 per month per user. Yes, in the long run it would appear you would save money when you hit the 2 year mark if you purchased software... but then you also have to purchase annual service agreements (I run into that each year at my work), hardware, backups, administration, etc... I'm a big fan of hosted solutions as long as they are within budget. Anyways, I signed up for a trial of mindsalt timesheets and was, overall, pleased with the features. In comparison to another application that I've tried, journyx, journyx was a little too overwhelming and confusing. Things were very straightforward in the mindsalt application. I probably won't continue past my trial since were really not *quite* ready to purchase something. But I'll give mindsalt another looksy in the future. Just my two cents. I hope it was helpful for someone.

I went ahead and created an account.

MindSalt Time & Expense CommentaryThis is a monthly subscription service! - Version: 2.7, 3/29/2007 09:42PM PST

CrispyCritter
The $8 price listed in the product summary here is misleading. Potential users of MindSalt Time should visit the developer's web site, where you will discover that this is a web-based subscription service which costs $8 per user per month.

I cannot rate or comment on the features of the software, because I do not intend to pay a monthly fee for a time and billing application that other software can provide for a one-time purchase fee. Others may find this web-based application useful, however.
