Product Description:

MyMahj is a nice and relaxing solitaire mahjongg game. The purpose of the game is to clear the screen of tiles by clicking on two identical tiles (or two seasons or flowers).

Only exposed tiles can be removed at any given moment. A tile is exposed if there is no tile over it, and if there is empty space on its left or right side.

What's new in this version:

  • [GL] Display Lists are replaced by Vertex Array and Vertex Buffer Object.
  • New icon, with high resolution graphics for Leopard and Vista.
  • Added a default button in the dialog boxes.
  • The game can be installed in a path with unicode characters.

There are far to many of these types of solitaire games on the market. Since I have not played this game, I cannot judge it functionality only the fact it was put on the market.

When a game developer that has an interest in tiles, software should be developed for the real Mah Jong (or Damejong) game. The game that is like the real tile game played in Asia.

I have played Mah Jong Parlour made popular in Apples OS 9.X era for years. It is a wonderful game. It could be played by one person or four through the network or internet. To this day there is nothing out there comparable. One game called Damejong is no good and cannot be rated. The designers intend no refinements.

When developers get out of the present box and develop new stuff, their work would be worth rating.

I hope this developer has the heart to get out of the box.

Thank you for this excellent free version of Mahjong solitaire. I haven't played a game like this since Shanghai for Mac OS 8. The tiles and graphics are clear, well designed and easy on the eye. The backdrops are simple, colourful and thoughtful. In fact it is not overcomplicated; a simple, engaging, well put together game and a pleasure to play.
