CosmoPod CommentaryWhy does this app and others have to put converted vids into iTunes? Why not make it a pref? - Version: 4.1, 12/20/2009 10:27AM PST

Jay
I love this and other such apps that capture .flv, etc. filetypes from the web and convert them to MPEG4 (or whatever) so we can view them on our Macs. But why does this and so many other such apps have to then automatically import these vids into iTunes at the end of the process? QUITE A LOT OF US DO NOT LIKE TO WATCH VIDEOS IN iTUNES, preferring instead to use one of the many great 3rd party video players like Movist, or even Apple's own QuickTime 7 (or X if NO advanced options are needed). It would be SO EASY to enable us to do so by simply including a preference to automatically put the converted vid into iTunes OR NOT. This would open up this app to a MUCH bigger population of potentially interested customers!

I just don't understand why these developers limit these apps — and the amount of money potentially pouring into their accounts — in this way.

CosmoPod ReviewShouldn't have a rated 1 star just because it doesn't work for me... - Version: 4.1, 10/24/2009 09:36PM PST

Shouldn't have rated version 4.1 with 1 star just because it breaks my Safari, so giving it a 5 star to try to even out my mistake. Sorry Cocoamug Software, I should have just left a Commentary not a Review.

CosmoPod ReviewCosmoPod 4.1 freezing Safari 3.1.2 - Version: 4.1, 10/24/2009 09:18PM PST

Just upgraded to CosmoPod 4.1 from version 3.1 and now I can't open a normal browser window. Only uninstalling CosmoPod 4.1 fixed the issue. Will be downgrading to CosmoPod 3.1 until I see feedback regarding a fix to this issue.
