PortableOSX ReviewKid of handy when you need to access the system... - Version: 0.0.1, 12/19/2007 09:36PM PST

when for some reason it wont boot-usually because ive added or accidently wiped out one small file-and dont want to load in all 5 GB of OS X.
ie. if one small 4kb plist file in Private Frameworks iPod folder gets lost-the system wont boot.

Why would a small iPod file bring the system down?
(I used to try to clean superfluous things off my HD-like iPod, Automator, Spotlight, among other things-and have since discovered things that you can junk if you dont happen to use them-and some you cant-but I often can add another 5 Gbs of new space-by doing this and using Monolingual-and the system seems a bit snappier-or at least less cluttered.
Also having 1000 fonts is a real drag on the system (OSX, Office, Photoshop etc)

So, I usually leave a small 6GB 'back door' HD which I can install this and then shoot a combined update over to the main HD, and many times ive gotten out of hot water.

As for the guy below who claims to be in "IT"- I think he meant it in the sense that he has stepped "in IT"-I remember this doofus from GLP.

Don't blame the reviewers for your (developer) stupidity for NOT stating in your description that this ONLY works with MacIntel's! It's YOUR fault you get negative reviews!

ONLY Intel Macs can boot from USB. No matter how long you hold your breath you PPC Mac will never boot from any USB device. So stop writing poor reviews for a product that works as advertised. If you want to complain, call Apple and ask why they didn't write USB boot support into their PPC based Macs firmware.
