Product Description:

Is an address missing a ZIP Code? Do you know the ZIP Code, but you're not sure what city it's for? Look up your missing address information with a single click, rather than visiting USPS.com each time. PostCheck will also reformat an address to conform to the United States Post Office standards.

What's new in this version:

  • A recommended update for all PostCheck users.
  • Fixes a potential serious conflict with sync services that could lead to an empty Address Book database. All batch Address Book database updates are now done on the main thread to prevent such conflicts from occurring.
  • PostCheck will now try flipping your apartment/suite number and street address lines, if they're not in the order that the USPS prefers.
  • Correctly encodes characters for XML, such as ampersands and quotes.

Haven't upgraded to Snow Leopard yet but I can confirm that version 1.9 works fine with OS 10.5.8 and Address Book 4.1.2.

Tried out the (nearly) full-functioning demo after I saw PostCheck mentioned on some forum more than a year ago. Got hooked on the convenience and bought a license.

Glad I did. It's one of those niche-filling pieces of shareware I use frequently...every time I add an address to my Apple Address Book.

I suspect sales would increase significantly if it were priced at $5 but I'm still happy I licensed it. BTW, Brian, you should work with MacUpdate to offer it for one day at half price on their daily special board and see if a lower price (with higher sales) maximizes revenue on your particular product. I just have a feeling that $5 is the sweet spot.
