Product Description:
Keyclick is a Mac OS X preference pane that provides subtle audio feedback for each keystroke the system recognizes. Human factors work on video terminals in the 1980s showed that the perception of keyboard crispness is correlated with audio feedback. A 21-day fully functional trial is available from the company's download page. Keyclick is a Universal Binary priced at $2.50 for Mac OS X 10.4 and up.
What's new in this version:
- Changed click sound to be more snap like.
- Added scroll wheel click.
- Fixed bug where Keyclick enable button would remain dimmed after "Enable access for assistive devices" was selected in Universal Access panel.
- Install "Silentium" alert sound so keyclick can be used without enabling other alert sounds.
- Added Localizable.strings
- Fixed bug in disconnecting from Keyclick Server when panel is unselected.

This little program was a complete lifesaver until the latest Apple software update disabled the keyboard click sounds - the mouse and scroll wheel click sounds continue to work just fine
(Problem applies to Keyclick v1.2.3, and the Java update released by Apple around the 1st week in September 09).
Fingers crossed there's an update available soon!

This is such a useless program other than making noises. Yet, I can't do without it.
Try it and you'll love it.
