NotePad Deluxe CommentaryStay away from this application - Version: 2.3.4, 12/13/2007 01:51PM PST

I've taken over a project from my predecessor who kept all her notes with this application. The directories are not recognized as Notepad DB files precluding me from accessing the info. This seems to happen often.

If your notes/documentation are important, do yourself a favor and keep them in a common format so your not dependent on a single company for you or your successors to access them. PDF, LaTeX, or even flat text and a well organized project directory are far superior.

were real slow about fixing the data loss problem (and they didn't acknowledge it or warn the public about it!). Shame on them. Nonetheless,I've been using the updated version extensively since its release in December. No data loss. Traditional outliners don't work for me. NPD manages to keep me organized without the oppressive regidity of an outline. The program is well worth the money. Now, if they would only create a companion product for palm with sync, I would pay $25 more!
